Vietnam veterans gather in candelight ceremony tonight

More than 1,000 Vietnam-era veterans will gather tonight for their annual Vietnam Veterans Candelight Ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. at the cemetery. The keynote speaker for this year's ceremony is retired U.S. Navy Adm. Richard Macke, former commander of the U.S. Pacific Command. Afterward, hundreds of Vietnam veterans will ride their motorcycles their "Rolling Thunder," a code name for the bombing of North Vietnam.
On Memorial Day, the annual ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hanemann will conduct the ceremony.
