Public invited to remembrance ceremony at Schofield
The Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony by U.S. Army Garrison, Hawaii takes place at 10 a.m. today at the Schofield Barracks Post Cemetery. The public is invited and attendees should enter through Foote Gate off Kunia Road.
Col. Matthew Margotta, commander of the garrison, will be the speaker. Representatives from the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion will also participate, helping place wreaths at the cemetery flagpole to honor fallen comrades.
