Hawaii weather: Warm and sticky again today

Light winds, high humidity, and showers will prevail across much of the state today and through most of the weekend, the National Weather Service said.

The heaviest showers will migrate from Oahu towards Molokai, and then diminish into next week, forecasters said.

Here’s a closer look at what to expect during the next few days:

Today: Scattered showers. The rain could be heavy at times. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. East wind around 7 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tonight: Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. West wind around 7 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: Scattered showers, mainly after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 85. West wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night: Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 7 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday: Scattered showers, mainly after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 84. East wind around 7 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Isolated showers before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
