5 city workers charged in theft linked to overtime
An Oahu grand jury yesterday indicted five city workers on charges of bribery and theft.
City spokesman Bill Brennan said the charges relate to overtime expenses.
All five employees work in street sweeping services at the Department of Facilities Maintenance, Brennan said.
One of those indicted, Manuel R.K. Castro, was charged with tampering with government records in addition to theft and bribery.
The others indicted were Roman G. Thomas, Michael C. Domingo, Joseph A. Sardinha III and Lydell J. Herodies.
