Michelle Obama's vegetable garden is about to become a culinary battlefield.
The Food Network announced yesterday that an episode of "Iron Chef America" will be taped at the White House featuring Mario Batali, Bobby Flay and Emeril Lagasse.
The three chefs, joined by White House chef Cristeta Comerford, will be welcomed by the first lady and allowed to use anything found in the garden to help create their meals.
ABC LANDS JACKSON FOR INTERVIEW SPECIAL
ABC has booked a prime-time interview with pop star Janet Jackson, expected to be her first lengthy television interview since her brother Michael's death.
ABC's Robin Roberts will interview Jackson at her California home for an hour-long special scheduled to air on Nov. 18. Jackson is promoting a greatest hits CD that is coming out for the holiday season.
ABC says it's the first time Jackson has allowed television cameras into her Malibu home.
Jackson paid tribute to her late brother in September at MTV's Video Music Awards. She danced to a recording of their duet "Scream" and did not address the audience.
Michael Jackson died on June 25.
DANCERS HONORING SWAYZE AT BENEFIT
Before Patrick Swayze was a film actor, a TV actor and People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive," he was a dancer.
And so it was fitting that a huge, eclectic group of dancers gathered to honor him this week at the annual fundraiser for Career Transition for Dancers, a group that helps dancers develop new careers after age or injury forces them to halt dancing.
Swayze had been chosen as this year's honoree well before his death in September of pancreatic cancer at age 57.
Swayze is best known for his roles in the popular films "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost," but his first professional job was as a dancer for Disney on Parade. He studied with the Harkness Ballet Company and then the Joffrey Ballet before joining the Eliot Feld Ballet as a principal dancer.
BROWN 'CONFUSED' BY PUBLIC'S REACTION
Chris Brown says he is unsure about how the public perceives him since he attacked Rihanna.
Brown beat up his ex-girlfriend in February and is on probation for the assault.
In an interview with MTV News, the 20-year-old says he's "confused" about his public image. He says that he thinks his fans "love me and support me." But he acknowledges there are people "that don't want to see me do anything they wanna see me kind of, basically in jail."
He also says he's trying to get past the scandal and learn from his mistakes.
"Chris Brown: The Interview," premieres tomorrow — the same day Rihanna's interview airs on "20/20."
