NFL: Bears DB Afalava leaves game with shoulder injury
Associated Press
CHICAGO — Chicago Bears defensive backs Charles Tillman and Al Afalava left Sunday's game against Arizona in the second quarter with shoulder injuries. Their returns to the game were questionable and the severity of their injuries was not immediately available.
Tillman is the Bears' top cornerback, whose assignment Sunday was to cover Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald.
Afalava, a Kahuku High alum from La‘ie, is a rookie safety.
The Bears also lost three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Tommie Harris 65 seconds into the game when he was ejected for slugging Cardinals guard Deuce Lutui.
