Four-hour concert Sunday features big names

Some of Hawaii’s most popular musical artists are taking the stage tomorrow between 1 and 5 p.m. for the “Kokua for the Pacific” benefit to send aid to victims of recent natural disasters in American Samoa, the Philippines and Indonesia.

Scheduled entertainers include Henry Kapono, Amy Hanaialii, Ten Feet, Makana, John Cruz, Micah G, Robi Kahakalau, Rebel Souljahz, Brother Noland, Charles Michael Brotman, Sean Naauao, Society of Seven — Las Vegas, Ilona Irvine, Lorna Lim and Mike Kaawa.
Clear Channel Hawaii is presenting the concert at The Waterfront at Aloha Tower and broadcasting it over radio stations KSSK and Island 98.5. The concert will also be televised on OC 16 and K-5, as well as on Oahu’s major network affiliates at various times and streamed live on the web by OC 16 and Clear Channel Hawaii.
Admission $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Advance tickets are available at kokuaforthepacific.com and include one door prize ticket. Tickets will also be available at the door, along with additional door prize tickets will be available for a suggested donation of $5 each or five for $20. Donations can also be called in to a celebrity phone bank that includes volunteers Carole Kai, Jimmy Borges and Melveen Leed. Proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross for disaster relief.
