Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, who was arrested in a scuffle with a photographer, could be sent to jail if he's found to have violated probation from a 2007 drug case, officials said yesterday.
The 43-year-old former heavyweight champion and a photographer, Tony Echeverria, made citizens' arrests of each other after a confrontation at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport.
Each man claimed the other struck him, police said. The city attorney will decide whether to file criminal charges.
Tyson is on probation after pleading guilty in Arizona to cocaine possession and driving under the influence.
DIRECTOR HONORED WITH DEMILLE AWARD
Director Martin Scorsese is the recipient of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Cecil B. DeMille Award for "his outstanding contribution to the entertainment field," it was announced yesterday. The 66-year-old filmmaker, who won an Oscar for directing 2006's "The Departed," has won two Golden Globes for best director — for "The Departed" and for 2002's "Gangs of New York." He also was nominated for a Golden Globe for best director for 1980's "Raging Bull," 1990's "GoodFellas," 1993's "The Age of Innocence," 1995's "Casino" and 2004's "The Aviator."

WARHOL WORK BRINGS IN $43.8 MILLION
A painting by Andy Warhol, "200 One Dollar Bills," brought the equivalent of $43.8 million at auction, more than three times its presale estimate of $12 million.
The piece, one of Warhol's first silk-screen paintings, sold at Sotheby's in New York on Wednesday evening. The auction house did not reveal the names of the buyer and seller.
CRAWFORD, HUSBAND TARGETED IN EXTORTION
Court documents say former supermodel Cindy Crawford and her entrepreneur husband Rande Gerber are the targets of an extortion scheme.
Documents filed yesterday by the FBI and U.S. attorney's office in U.S. District Court say an acquaintance of the couple's former nanny has threatened to sell a photo of their then 7-year-old daughter.
The photo was purportedly taken by the couple's former nanny and shows the girl bound to a chair in revealing clothing. Cindy Crawford's spokeswoman Annett Wolf issued a statement saying the photo was taken as part of a game without Crawford's knowledge.
Crawford, who divorced actor Richard Gere in 1995, married Gerber in 1998. They have two children.
