Weather service says northwest swell could bring high surf
A northwest swell could of at least 25 feet could be arriving late Tuesday and peaking mid-week, according to the National Weather Service.
A high-surf advisory also was issued through Monday night for north- and west-facing shores of Kauai, Niihau, Oahu, Molokai and Maui because of a large storm system that has moved into the central north Pacific, according to the National Weather Service.
But the advisory may need to be upgraded to a warning when the surf peaks on Wednesday, the weather service said.
