Helemano Farms said it will begin selling Norfolk pine Christmas trees in Central O'ahu on Friday.

The farm will be open from noon to sunset on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to sunset on weekends through Dec. 23.

Prices start at $40 for a 6-foot tree; $50 for 7-foot trees and $60 for 8-foot trees. The farm sells trees up to 15 feet tall. Christmas wreaths are available for $25.

PACIFIC OFFICE PROPERTIES SAYS FUNDS ROSE

Pacific Office Properties Trust Inc., the Los Angeles-based real estate firm affiliated with Honolulu-based Shidler Group, reported adjusted funds from operations in the third quarter rose to $1.8 million, or 10 cents a share, up from $800,000, or 5 cents a share from the same quarter a year earlier.

Steady leasing activity resulted in the company's portfolio being 85.5 percent leased as of Sept. 30, up from 84.3 percent from a year earlier, the company said.

Pacific Office Properties also said that it has established a new credit line with First Hawaiian Bank for $10 million with a two-year term. The credit facility will take the place of the one Pacific Office Properties had with KeyBank that ended in September.

The company has about 60 percent of its investment property in Honolulu, a market that has one of the lowest vacancy rates in the country.

KAISER PLAN IN HAWAI'I RANKED 14TH BEST

Kasier Permanente's Medicare health plan for Hawai'i was ranked the 14th best in the country, according to a joint ranking by U.S. News & World Report and the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

The Hawai'i plan was one of six Kaiser regional Medicare plans that were ranked among the top 15 in a report titled "America's Best Health Insurance Plans 2009-10" published in the December issue of U.S. News & World Report. A total of 160 health plans were covered in the rankings.

Kaiser's Colorado plan was the No. 1 ranked Medicare health plan in the study. Other Kaiser regional plans in the top 15, and their ranking: Northwest, 7; Southern California, 8; Northern California, 3; Hawai'i, 14, and Mid-Atlantic States, 15.
