Police were investigating two incidents at an 'Ewa Beach home where one man was apparently stabbed and a teenage girl assaulted.

Emergency personnel were called to a home on Ewalu Way at about 3 p.m. yesterday after receiving a call that a man had been stabbed. Paramedics treated a man who appeared to be in his 30s and took him to a hospital in serious condition, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department.

Cheplic said the man suffered what appeared to be at least one stab wound.

About half an hour later, paramedics were called to the same home and treated a teenage girl, who appeared to be assaulted, Cheplic said. The girl was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

It was not immediately known whether the two injured people were related, or what caused their injuries.
