The National Weather Service has issued a small-craft advisory for all Hawaiian coastal waters and channels due to strong trade winds originating from a surface ridge to the north-northwest of the island chain.

The advisory for all islands will remain in effect until late this afternoon, when winds are expected to diminish. However, the advisory is expected to continue through the evening for typically windy coastal waters and channels adjacent to the Big Island and Maui.
