MLB: Rockies' De La Rosa leaves with injured groin
Associated Press
LOS ANGELES — Colorado Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa left Saturday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fourth inning because of tightness in his right groin.
The game was scoreless when De La Rosa exited. The Rockies needed to win their final two games to overtake Los Angeles for the NL West title. Both teams have clinched playoff spots.
De La Rosa was trying for his 17th win, which would've tied the franchise record for victories in a season. He retired his first nine batters before hurting himself on his 40th pitch.
