EL PASO, Texas — Donald Buckram ran for a career high 262 yards and four touchdowns to lead Texas-El Paso to a 58-41 upset of No. 12 Houston.
Miner fans stormed the field second after the unranked Miners (2-3, 1-0 Conference USA) won, beating a ranked team for the first time in 12 years.
The Cougars (3-1, 0-1 C-USA) lost despite a career night from Case Keenum, who threw for 536 yards and five touchdowns.
