Coast Guard plan flies in ailing infant from Samoa
A Coast Guard air crew from Kalaeloa flew an ill infant from American Samoa to Hawai'i on Monday.
The 7-week-old girl was being treated at Tripler Army Medical Center after being transported aboard a C-130 long-range search plane.
The plane, which also carried a medical assist team including a Coast Guard flight surgeon, left American Samoa Monday evening and landed on O'ahu about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
