Hawaii woman BMW champion

Hawai'i's Nancy McHenry-Siegel won the Women's Flight at the BMW National Cup at Pinehurst Nos. 8 and 2 last month in North Carolina.
McHenry advances to the BMW International Cup in South Africa in March to represent the U.S. She won with Stableford scores of 31-24. Her two-day total was eights shots better than runners-up Paula Trask (28-19), also from Hawai'i, and Donna Braud (24-23).
In the men's A Flight, Hawai'i's Marc Casperino took fourth with scores of 38-32, while Anthony Chun (27-29) was 29th. In the B Flight, Hawai'i's David Fugate (32-27) took fourth and Richard Ogomori (29-27) fifth.
McHenry had the longest drive at the No. 2 course and Trask at No. 8, along with Closest to the Pin.
This year's local qualifiers were held at Mid-Pacific Country Club and Ka'anapali. Qualifiers for the 2010 BMW National Cup will be held in April at Mid-Pac and June at Ka'anapali.
