President of Kennedy Center for Performing Arts visiting Isles
Michael M. Kaiser, president of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will be speaking to the arts and culture community on O'ahu Dec. 16 and on Maui Dec. 17.
Kaiser, president of Kennedy Center since 2001 and a national authority in arts management and administration, will discuss the role of the arts in society 9:30-11:30 a.m. Dec. 16 at the Mission Memorial Auditorium on O'ahu and will give a talk as well at 10 a.m. Dec. 17 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
He is scheduled for a Hawai'i Public Radio interview during his stay and will give a press conference, as well.
His visit is sponsored by the Hawai'i Arts Alliance, as the local member of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education.
