Oahu flood advisory extended

Advertiser Staff

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended a flood advisory for Oahu until 7:15 p.m. today.

A little after 4 p.m. today, radar showed heavy rain near Halawa that was nearly stationary.
The weather service said locations included, but not limited to, in the advisory are Waikele, Kapolei, Kunia, Waipahu, Waimalu, Pearl City and Aiea.
People are urged to stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low-lying areas prone to flooding.

The advisory may be extended if heavy rain persists.
