Brotherly love key to winning

 • Pigskin picks

When does a two-time Pigskin Picks winner fail to become a three-time winner despite having the winning ballot?

When he makes the selections for his younger sister.

Jimmy Nakasone, who won in 2005 and 2008, predicted the winners and used his sister's name in the online submission.

The result was a 15-0 record and a tiebreaker victory.

"Give all the credit to him," said Tammy, a flight attendant and Kalani High and University of Hawai'i alum.

She won't just give him the credit, she said she'll also give him the prize — a trip for two to Las Vegas and $100 worth of Papa John's pizza.

"I turned in four (online) ballots," he said. "(I) used my wife, sister, niece and me. My ballot, I usually try to make it the best one."

He said his ballot listed New England beating Denver but on Tammy's ballot he had Denver winning (the Broncos won in overtime).
