HILO — A 56-year-old Arizona man is being held in connection with an attempted robbery in Kona, Hawaii County police say.

Emil Delao of Tucson was arrested yesterday at Kona Airport as he was waiting to catch a flight to the Mainland.
He was being held at the Kona cellblock pending charges.
Police say an 18-year-old woman told them she was walking by the rock wall of Hale O Kane Park at 8:45 p.m. when a man began speaking to her, following her and telling her he was going to rob her.
The man allegedly knocked the woman down, but her screams attracted passersby and the man fled. The woman was not injured.
