Man reports being robbed at knifepoint on Sunday
Honolulu police are investigating a complaint filed by a 22-year-old man who said he was robbed at knifepoint by two men about 10:10 Sunday night.
The man told police he saw the two men standing in front of a store and thought they looked familiar.
He said he walked up to the men and began conversing with them.
Police said the man reported giving the men a ride to an undisclosed location where he "hung out" with them.
After a while, one of the men pulled a knife, pointed it at the victim's chest and instructed him to empty his pockets, the victim told police.
He said the man with the knife took his property, then got into the car and drove away with the second man.
Police classified the case as a first-degree robbery.
