Dave Chappelle could be holding Hollywood's comedy endurance record if he'd only been able to hold something else.
The comic, who famously walked away from a $50 million deal four years ago to continue his Comedy Central TV show, was on stage at the Laugh Factory on Sunday, seemingly on his way to setting the club's endurance record for continuous standup comedy.
But then, five hours into his routine, he walked away to go to the bathroom and was disqualified, said club owner Jamie Masada.
"There are only two rules," Masada said yesterday. "You have to continuously tell jokes that are funny and you can't leave the stage, even to go to the bathroom."
The result: the seven-hour, 34-minute marathon performance that Dane Cook turned in last year stands as the club's record.
PALIN WILL PROMOTE BOOK ON 'OPRAH'
Sarah Palin will sit with Oprah Winfrey next month for the first interview from the former Alaska governor since she stepped down from office.
Palin will appear in part to promote her book, "Going Rogue: An American Life," which will be released that week.
It is so far the only interview announced this fall for the former vice presidential candidate, and it will be her first time on "Oprah."
Although Winfrey is known to nail down some big interviews on her popular daytime show, the most newsmaking sessions have usually been along the lines of entertainers such as Tom Cruise or Whitney Houston.
BROWN SETS 'FAN APPRECIATION' TOUR
It's safe to say Chris Brown does not have as many fans as he did before he attacked Rihanna. But he still has some, and he's going on tour to thank them next month.
The singer is kicking off his "Fan Appreciation" tour in Houston on Nov. 14. The venues are small, but a statement from his record company says it's to keep an "intimate" setting. A portion of tour proceeds are going to charities.
Brown, 20, was sentenced in August to five years' probation, six months of community labor and a year of domestic violence counseling for the February attack on Rihanna.
'BIG BROTHER' WINNER BUSTED IN DRUG STING
The ninth-season winner of the reality TV show "Big Brother" told a federal agent that he used his $500,000 prize to buy thousands of oxycodone pills and resell them, authorities said.
Adam Jasinski, 31, of Delray Beach, Fla., has been charged with attempting to sell 2,000 pills in Massachusetts to a government witness. Federal prosecutors said Jasinski was arrested Saturday after he flew to Boston and showed the witness a sock containing two plastic bags filled with oxycodone, a powerful painkiller that is a popular street drug.
