Missile defense system briefing is open to public
An informational briefing on the U.S. missile defense system and the role of the Pacific Missile Range Facility on Kauai will be held from 6 to 8 tonight in Room 325 of the state Capitol.
The public briefing will include a presentation by Riki Ellison, founder and chairman of the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance, a nonprofit organization which advocates deployment and development of a missile defense system.
The briefing is presented by the state House of Representatives Veterans Caucus, Navy League of Hawaii and state Rep. Roland Sagum, D-16th (Poipuu, Waimea, Niihau).
