A woman who was found dead late Sunday night in Wai'anae has been identified as Nicole Barrett of Wai'anae.

Police said Barrett, 26, was discovered unresponsive by a friend at about 10:15 p.m. on a road in Wai'anae. Barrett was pronounced dead a short time later.

The case has been classified as an unattended death pending the outcome of an autopsy. The city medical examiner's office yesterday did not release the cause or manner of Barrett's death.
