A brushfire has scorched an estimated 100 acres in the Waiawa Ridge area today.

The fire is not threatening property and firefighters will keep a fire watch tonight and do a helicopter flyover Thursday to determine what action to take, fire Capt. Terry Seelig said.
The fire was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m. It is burning formner sugar cane land.
It was the largest of six brushfires reported on Oahu today. The other five were small fires, Seelig said. Although it was breezy at times, Seelig said weather conditions did not appear to have played a role in the fires starting or spreading.
