Laughtrack Theater says mahalo with free show

Hawaii’s only improv theater is celebrating its one-year anniversary tonight with a free comedy show featuring a lineup that includes some of Oahu’s most popular troupes.
Laughtrack Theater Company in Chinatown opened on Aug. 30, 2008, and co-owners Kim Potter and Shannon Winpenny are giving a mahalo
to those who have supported them through a tough economic year with performances that include a long-form improvised play by the Casual Threat trio (R. Kevin Doyle, Robb Bonnell and Shannon Winpenny), as well as appearances by Chocolate Squirrel, In Yo Face Improv (aka IYFI) and Boogie with Stu.
Also planned for the evening: lion dancers, a blessing, cocktails and light püpü before the 8 p.m. show and cake and cocktails after.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with tickets available a half-hour in advance at the theater at 1123 Bethel St. (across from Hawai‘i Theatre). Call 384-3362 for reservations or go online at www.laughtracktheater.com.
