ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Wide receiver C.J. Hawthorne, a University of Hawai‘i alum, is back with the Buffalo Bills, one of eight players placed on the practice squad a day after being released by the team.
Hawthorne rejoined the Bills as the team began to prepare for its season-opener at New England on Sept. 14.
He was also placed on the practice squad last season after signing as a undrafted free agent.
Rounding out the practice squad are players who were also among the 18 released Saturday. They are linebacker Alvin Bowen, running back Bruce Hall, defensive back Cary Harris, offensive lineman Nick Hennessey, tight end Jonathan Stupar, defensive lineman Corey Mace and receiver Felton Huggins.
