Restaurateurs Thomas and Siri Ky, whose family operate the award-winning Assaggio restaurants around Oçahu, are opening a a new restaurant in Kahala with a benefit for Aloha United Way.

Assaggio Bistro Kahala, which will be operated by longtime employees of the Kys, opens next week and all proceeds on Monday and Tuesday will be donated to Aloha United Way. The restaurant, at 4346 Wai'alae Ave., across from the Kahala Mall, will be open daily for lunch and dinner.
