Two men are in custody and a a 28-year-old Kapaa man was airlifted to Straub Clinic & Hospital yesterday after an altercation early yesterday morning, Kauai officials said.

The injured man was reported in stable condition at Straub.
Kauai police arrested two male suspects from Kailua, Kona, for investigation of second-degree assault. They were unable to post bail, Kauai officials said.
The incident occurred at around 1:58 a.m. yesterday morning on the foot bridge between Duke’s Canoe Club and Kalapaki Beach.
