RUSTON, La. — Ross Jenkins threw for 357 yards and two touchdowns to lead Louisiana Tech to a 48-13 win over Nicholls State last night.

The Bulldogs (1-2) never trailed and claimed a 20-3 lead in the third quarter when D.J. Morrow scored on a 9-yard run. Morrow finished with 89 yards rushing on eight carries, while Tyrone Duplessis added 71 yards on the ground on eight attempts.

Louisiana Tech pushed its lead to 34-3 in the third when Deon Young returned an interception 32 yards for a score. Dennis Morris then caught a 37-yard touchdown from Jenkins, who completed 21-of-30 passes.

Jenkins also threw a 6-yard touchdown to Houston Tuminello in the fourth.

Jacob Witt was 9 of 20 with 107 yards passing and three interceptions, including a 24-yard rushing score for the Colonels (1-2). Anton Robinson finished with eight catches for 101 yards.

Louisiana Tech will host Hawai'i Nov. 30 in Ruston.

IDAHO 34, SAN DIEGO STATE 20:

Joseph Dickson returned an interception 74 yards for a first-quarter touchdown and DeMaundray Woolridge rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns to lead the host Vandals (2-1) over the Aztecs (1-2). Idaho hosts Hawai'i Oct. 17 in Moscow.

COLORADO STATE 35, NEVADA 20:

Grant Stucker accounted for three scores while wide receiver Dion Morton threw a touchdown pass and hauled in another, leading the host Rams (3-0) over the Wolf Pack (0-2). Nevada hosts Hawai'i Oct. 31 in Reno.

TEXAS A&M 38, UTAH STATE 30:

Jerrod Johnson threw three of his four touchdown passes to freshman Uzoma Nwachukwu and the host Aggies (2-0) held off Utah State (0-2), which has lost eight straight road games. Utah State plays at Hawai'i Nov. 7.

UTEP 38, NEW MEXICO STATE 12:

Donald Buckram rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns, leading the visiting Miners (1-2) over the Aggies (1-2) in a game which started nearly three-hours late because of a threat of lightning. New Mexico State will play at Hawai'i Nov. 14.

STANFORD 42, SAN JOSE STATE 17:

Chris Owusu opened the game with a 94-yard kickoff return and also caught a touchdown pass, Toby Gerhart ran for 113 yards and two TDs and the host Cardinal beat the Spartans (0-3) in the third annual Bill Walsh Legacy Game. San Jose State hosts Hawai'i Nov. 21.

HAWAI'I NONCONFERENCE OPPONENTS

CENTRAL ARKANSAS 28, WESTERN KENTUCKY 7:

Robbie Park threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns, and Leonard Ceasar ran 51 yards for a TD to lead the visiting Bears (1-1) over the Hilltoppers (0-3). Hawai'i beat Central Arkansas, 25-20, Sept. 4.

WASHINGTON STATE 30, SMU 27:

Nico Grasu kicked a 39-yard field goal in overtime as the host Huskies (1-2) rallied from a 24-13 deficit with 14 points in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 27-all against the Mustangs (2-1). Washington State lost to Hawai'i, 38-20, on Sept. 12.

PITTSBURGH 27, NAVY 14:

Dion Lewis and Ray Graham each scored a touchdown and the host Panthers turned a bizarre failed punt by the Midshipmen (1-2) into a pivotal touchdown to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2000. Navy will play at Hawai'i Nov. 28.

WISCONSIN 44, WOFFORD 14:

Scott Tolzien threw for two touchdowns, Zach Brown ran for two more and the host Badgers (3-0) blocked a punt for another touchdown in a rout of the Terriers (1-2). Wisconsin plays at Hawai'i Dec. 5.
