An O'ahu grand jury yesterday indicted a 20-year-old Mililani man in connection with the kidnapping of two 15-year-old Mililani girls in separate incidents on Sept. 16.
One of the girls reported being repeatedly sexually assaulted.
The grand jury returned a 12-count indictment against Nicholas Anduha.
On the list of charges are two counts of kidnapping, two counts of terroristic threatening, seven counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of third-degree sexual assault.
City Deputy Prosecutor Vickie Kapp described Anduha as "a danger to the community" and "a sexual predator" in urging Circuit Judge Richard Perkins to keep Anduha's bail at $500,000.
In one incident, the girl said she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted for nearly seven hours. She said she was walking on Huo Place to a friend's house when a man grabbed her and forced her into a white van shortly before 7 a.m. She told police the man ordered her to lie down on the van's floor as he drove around Wahiawa. He stopped at a park in Wahiawa, where he sexually assaulted her, according to police records.
The man drove to Waimea Bay Beach Park, where he again sexually assaulted her, police said. At about 1:30 p.m., he drove her back to the Mililani area and let her go.
In the other case, a 15-year-old girl said she was walking with her boyfriend at 3:30 a.m. in Mililani when they were confronted by a male with a knife.
Police said the assailant ordered the boyfriend to leave. The man then placed his arm on the girl's shoulder and held the knife to her stomach. The boyfriend later confronted the man, who released the girl and drove away, police said.
