Thirtyninehotel in Chinatown will celebrate five years in business with an event on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Often credited with helping to originate the Hotel Street revitalization movement, thirtyninehotel has served the arts and music scenes in Honolulu with art exhibits, live and electronic music, and a commitment to support the community.
The model of thirtyninehotel as an arts and culture venue created an anchor location in Chinatown, contributing to an arts and culture district.
The anniversary event this year features guest DJ Juan Nunez from Los Angeles. Also playing is thirtyninehotel resident DJ and promotions manager, Mark Chittom.
