Rainbow Wahine remain No. 4

The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team remained No. 4 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division I Top 25 poll released yesterday.
Hawai'i (11-2, 2-0 Western Athletic Conference) swept Boise State and Idaho last week in conference play.
The Rainbow Wahine play at Louisiana Tech on Thursday and at New Mexico State on Saturday in WAC matches.
Penn State (11-0) remains No. 1, followed by Nebraska (9-0) and Washington (12-0).
HILO RANKED NO. 19
Hawai'i-Hilo's women's volleyball team moved up three spots to No. 19 in the AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 released yesterday.
Concordia-St. Paul (17-0) was a unanimous No. 1, followed by Cal State San Bernardino and UC San Diego.
The Vulcans (13-0) play Pacific West Conference matches with Grand Canyon at Phoenix today and tomorrow and Dixie State at St. George, Utah, Friday and Saturday.
SOCCER
BOURNE HONORED
University of Hawai'i soccer player Britta Bourne was named Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week yesterday.
Bourne, a senior, scored two goals and had an assist for five points to help Hawai'i (4-6-1) to a pair of wins over Detroit-Mercy last week.
Bourne scored the game's only goal in Thursday's 1-0 victory. On Saturday, Bourne assisted on the game-winning goal and scored a goal in a 2-0 win.
HPU PLAYERS PICKED
Hawai'i Pacific forward Dyanne Anderson was named the Pacific West Conference women's soccer Player of the Week.
Anderson of Dana Point, Calif., led the Sea Warriors with five goals in two games including four in an 8-0 victory over Chaminade.
The Sea Warriors also defeated reigning PacWest champion Brigham Young-Hawai'i, 2-1.
HPU sophomore Chance Bukoski was named the PacWest men's soccer Player of the Week.
Bukoski, of Kapa'a, Kaua'i, had three goals in a 4-0 victory over BYUH last week. The Sea Warriors also beat Chaminade, 3-1, on Saturday.
GOLF
KIM CAPTURES TITLE
Mona Kim shot a 9-over-par 81 yesterday to win her fifth Hawai'i State Women's Golf Association Senior Championship at Kapolei Golf Course.
Kim, who last won in 2004, also won three in a row from 2000 to 2002.
CROSS COUNTRY
2 SEASIDERS HONORED
Brigham Young-Hawai'i sophomore Lacey (Johnson) Krout was named Pacific West Conference women's cross country Runner of the Week.
Krout of Preston, Idaho, won the 5-kilometer Chaminade Invitational Saturday in 19 minutes, 20 seconds. She led BYU-Hawai'i to the team title.
BYU-Hawai'i junior Spencer DeAvilla was selected the Pacific West Conference men's cross country Runner of the Week.
DeAvilla of Mesa, Ariz., captured the 8-kilometer Chaminade Invitational Saturday in 26:26. BYUH and HPU tied for the team title.
