BOISE, Idaho — New Boise State men's basketball coach Leon Rice has announced the hiring of two assistants.
Dave Wojcik has been named the associate head coach while Jeff Linder will be the No. 2 assistant, The Idaho Statesman reported. Rice says both men took pay cuts from their previous jobs to come to Boise State.
Wojcik, who is 41, was the No. 2 assistant at Wake Forest for the 2009-10 season and has been an assistant to Lefty Driesell at James Madison and the late Skip Prosser at Xavier. He has experience recruiting in California and on the East Coast.
Linder, who is 32, comes to Boise from San Francisco, where he was the associate head coach. Linder was on Randy Rahe's staff at Weber State before moving to San Francisco.
Rice still needs to hire a third assistant coach and a director of basketball operations.
