Hawaiian Electric is warning the public about a phony e-mail that advertises a fake employment opportunity.

The fraudulent e-mail from hawaiinelectric1891@gmail.com asks the recipient to apply for a nonexistent accounts receivable position and to supply personal information.

People should not disclose personal information to this sender.

Hawaiian Electric said all of its employment opportunities are listed on its Web site at www.heco.com.
