Turn reusable materials into art at workshop on Saturday in Kapolei

Advertiser Staff

The Malama Learning Center will host a workshop on creating and expressing art, as inspired by nature. The workshop will be 9:30 a.m.-noon on Saturday at Kapolei High School.

At the family-friendly event, plants, Styrofoam from lunch trays and plates, and other reusable materials will be used in creative ways. Participants will learn how to use leaves and other natural materials to create prints that can be hung as art and worn, as well as be used to make cards, wrapping paper or gifts.

The cost is $7 per person; $15 for a family of up to three people. Registration is required. Contact Janice Staab at janicestaab@gmail.com or 542-9107.
