Gasoline prices statewide rose nearly a nickel a gallon during the first week of April following several weeks of no movement, AAA Hawaii reported today.

Statewide, the average gas price today is $3.53 a gallon for regular unleaed.

In Honolulu, the average price is $3.42, That's 5 cents more than last week, 9 cents more than a month ago and $1.04 higher than a year ago.

In Hilo, the average price is $3.54, 6 cents more than last week, 11 cents more than last month and 97 cents higher than last year.

In Wailuku, the average price is $3.87, 2 cents more than last week., 6 cents more than last month and $1.12 more than a year ago.
