An elderly male visitor has been pronounced dead after being pulled from waters at the Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon yesterday morning.

Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said paramedics were sent to the lagoon area just before 10:30 a.m.

The victim, who appeared to be in his 70s, was treated and stabilized at the scene before being taken to a hospital in critical condition, Cheplic said.
