A breezy day and another cool evening are in the forecast, the National Weather Service says.

Today will be partly sunny, with highs at 74 to 79 degrees and northeast winds at 15 to 20 mph.

The cool northeast winds will bring temperatures down to the low- to mid-60s tonight.

Also, a high-surf advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. for north-and west-facing shores of Niihau and Kauai, north-facing shores of Oahu, Maui and Molokai, and east-facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai and the Big Island.

Surf along north- and west-facing shores were expected to be in the 8- to 10-foot range today before dropping below advisory levels this evening.

Surf on east-facing shores will continue at 5 to 8 feet through today.
