HONOLULU — The University of Hawaii will add computer engineering to the list of bachelor of science degrees it offers.
The degree will become available in the fall of this year.
Dean Peter Crouch of the UH College of Engineering says potential students interested in pursuing careers in computer software design, hardware manufacturing and robotics will be able to remain in Hawaii for their undergraduate education.
Faculty from the UH Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Information and Computer Sciences will teach classes that will count toward the degree.
