Carnival thrills, malassadas, ‘G.I. Joe’ screening today

Gather the family for carnival rides and games. Visit a country store for jams and jellies. Chow down on malassadas and red velvet cupcakes. Or watch a free showing of the movie "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra." These are among the activities on tap at the annual 'Iolani Fair, which continues noon to 10:30 p.m. today on the school's campus in Moiliili.

The school's biggest fundraiser offers craft activities, an art sale, silent auction, demonstrations on green lifestyles, cooking demonstrations and food booths. Entertainment includes Manoa DNA at 3:30 p.m., Mailani Makainai & Friends at 5 p.m., and Brother Noland at 6:30 p.m.; "G.I.
