Punahou softball hands Mid-Pacific first ILH loss

Jasmine Ioane pitched a one-hitter and hit a walk-off, two-run homer yesterday as host Punahou handed Mid-Pacific its first loss of the season, 2-1.

Punahou improved to 8-4 in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu; Mid-Pacific dropped to 9-1.

In the Buffanblu seventh, Kayla Shimoda led off with a single to deep shortstop. Ioane followed by belting a 1-2 pitch over the fence in right-center.

Ioane walked two and struck out seven.
