A soft drink vending machine was left on Waikomo Road on Kauai early Saturday morning, police said.

Police believe that the vending machine was dragged from the Koloa Big Save store at 5 a.m. and left on the side of the road, Kauai officals said.

Police are urging business owners to make sure that coin operated or cash dispensing machines are secure.

Anyone with information about the attempted theft is asked to call Kauai police at 241-1711 or Crime Stoppers, 241-1887.
