Advertiser Staff

Nomination forms for the 28th class of the Hawai'i High School Hall of Honor — available for download at the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association's website at www.sportshigh.com — are due Friday.

Seniors who have participated in any sport sanctioned by the HHSAA are eligible.

Forms must be submitted to The Honolulu Advertiser's Sports Department at 605 Kapi'olani Blvd., Ho-nolulu, HI 96813, and received by Friday. They may be mailed or hand-delivered.

The members of the Class of 2010 will be chosen by a 15-person independent selection committee that will focus primarily on athletic achievement, but also consider academic performance, participation in extra-curricular activities, involvement in community, sportsmanship, character and versatility in sports.

The Hall of Honor, established in 1982 by Nissan Motor Corp. and maintained by the HHSAA Foundation, will induct the newest 12 members at the HHSAA Foundation Hall of Honor banquet at the Sheraton Waikīkī Hotel on June 6. There currently are 324 Hall of Honor members from 53 different high schools.

For more information, call the HHSAA office at 808 587-4495.
