Outdoor warning sirens to be tested near Ala Wai Park

Advertiser Staff

The city departments of Emergency Management and Facility Maintenance and Hawai'i State Civil Defense will be testing an outdoor warning siren at Ala Wai Community Park today from 9 a.m. to noon.

The siren is on the corner of Kapi'olani Boulevard and McCully Street.

The test is being conducted to ensure that the siren is operating at full power and providing optimal range.

Residents and businesses in the surrounding communities may hear several 20-second soundings during the test period.
