Kahuku High alum Aaron Francisco, a safety for the Indianapolis Colts, provides insight to the Super Bowl.

It's travel day! Yes, today we make our way down to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. But before all that, I woke up early to spend some time with my son before I left town for the week. I took him down to a nearby mall and let him run around and play at the indoor playground while his mommy slept in at home. Then it was off to the airport.

The team got the royal treatment during our travel. We got full-on police escorts to and from the airport and flew down in a first-class sports jet.

I could feel everyone's excitement as we were all on the plane.

Everyone had their cameras and camcorders out to capture atmosphere that surrounds a Super Bowl experience. Teammates laughing and dancing around before takeoff was quite a sight. Everyone is in great spirits here.

The weather wasn't what we all were hoping for when we landed. It was pouring rain. But on the plus side, it wasn't cold. Although the rain changed my original plans of jumping in the ocean upon arrival at the hotel, I'm still optimistic for warm and sunny days later in the week.

We have the rest of the night off and I have plans for dinner at the Hard Rock Casino with teammates Hank Baskett, Freddy Keiaho and Fili Moala.

Aloha.
