Tennis: Djokovic into quarterfinals of Rotterdam tourney

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands — Top-seeded Novak Djokovic defeated Marco Chiudinelli of Switzerland 6-4, 6-2 today to reach the quarterfinals of the ABN Amro indoors tournament.
Djokovic improved to 2-1 against Chiudinelli after topping him at the Australian Open.
Fourth-seeded Gael Monfils defeated local Thiemo de Bakker 6-3, 6-2, and Julien Benneteau beat Michael Berrer of Germany 6-4, 6-4.
Sixth-seeded Mikhail Youzhny, the 2007 champion, defeated Turkish qualifier Marsel Ilhan 6-4, 6-4.
