Advisory panel releases names of UH regent finalists

Gov. Linda Lingle has received the names of seven finalists for three seats on the University of Hawaii Board of Regents.
The Regents Candidate Advisory Council screened the candidates for the Honolulu seat, Maui County seat and the student seat. The finalists are:
Honolulu: Terri T. Fujii and Chuck Y. Gee
Maui: Saedene K. Ota and Ronald D. Montgomery
Student: Jett J. Jasper, Hannah S. Miyamoto and Matthew R. Williams
Lingle will choose her regent nominees from the list, and they must be confirmed by the state Senate in the current legislative session.
