Free H1N1 shots for University of Hawaii students on Thursday

University of Hawaii at Manoa students can get a free H1N1 influenza vaccine Thursday on campus from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The clinic will be held by University Health Services Manoa and students with insurance are asked to bring their health insurance cards.
The vaccine will be given on a first-come, first-served basis and any student under 18 is required to provide a parent/guardian signature of consent form, which may be picked up from the health center. 
UH said students who meet any one of the following criteria are urged to get the vaccination:

  • Younger than 25
  • Pregnant
  • Healthcare workers
  • Caretakers or family members of infants younger than 6 months
  • Students with chronic medical conditions (asthma, diabetes, heart disease)
