NORMAN, Okla. — Injured Chicago Bears defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek, a standout for Oklahoma when he played college football, has been arrested in on charges of public intoxication, assault and battery and interference with official process.
Norman police department records indicate the 26-year-old was arrested around 1 a.m. Saturday at Seven47, a restaurant in the Campus Corner area of town just across the street from the University of Oklahoma.
While in college, he was dismissed from the Sooners for a time after an altercation at a Norman bar. He was reinstated to the team after going through anger-management and alcohol-related counseling.
Dvoracek appeared in only 13 games in four seasons with the Bears after being drafted in the fourth round in 2006. He also was sidelined by injuries to his foot, right knee and biceps. He was placed on the waiver list by the Bears in August because of a torn ACL in his right knee.
